We cultivate the local varieties of the area preserving our natural heritage
The procedures for making wines are always the most environmentally friendly.
We avoid unnecessary additives and preservatives to make healthy wines. The most notable example shown by these points are our Mèdol and Mèdol Selection, wines without any added product, the result of the alcoholic fermentation of organic grapes.
- Without any preservative and/or antiseptic
- No sulfites
- Without ascorbic acid
- No clarifiers or stabilizers.
Organic farming is a different concept from conventional agriculture, characterized by overexploitation and soil pollution.
It is creative, scientific and advanced and allows the solution of major environmental, health and social problems. Organic farming can improve the health of producers and consumers by avoiding biocides, herbicides and other toxic products: synthetic fertilizers, hormones,... It improves greatly food quality.
It preserves and expands the variety of cultivated plants that farmers have been able to use to improve soils and protect crops. It is ecologically beneficial, while respecting the wild animal and plant species that coexist around crops.
The influence of the Mediterranean Sea makes Tarragona a warm and mild climate zone, with average rainfall of 550 mm.
In our vineyards, we grow local white varieties such as Macabeo, Cartoixà or Xarel·lo and Parellada. We have traditional English varieties such as Grenache, Tempranillo and Sumoi, but also international varieties, such as Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The farms are controlled and certified by the Catalan Council of Organic Agriculture.
