This post is not like the others

Dear reader,

This post won’t be like the others. Normally, on the 9+ blog we take the chance to give visibility to our little world of natural wine, share curiosities, and tell you stories that nurture the love for the historical heritage that wine represents. But today we’re taking a pause. Today is a special day.

Today, November 13th, 2025, marks exactly 15 years since we inaugurated l'Agrobotiga 9+ (our shop) and, therefore, since we officially opened this small family project: a natural wine cellar born from a mix of excitement, effort, and (a lot of) healthy stubbornness.

As some of you already know, I’m Tzaitel, the eldest daughter of Moisès (the winemaker). I’m the one who manages this blog and the website, replies to your messages and comments (with lots of hearts and smiling emojis), and bombs you with stories every time one of the events we organize in our tasting room approaches.

If you do an easy math, you'll deduce that 15 years ago, on the day of the opening, I was not exactly a responsible, fully functioning adult. So my memory of that day is quite different from my parents’. While Moisès and Àngela were handling last-minute details at the shop: checking if they had enough cava glasses, picking up the coques de recapte and the appetizers, and sorting out a thousand things beyond my understanding... I was only thinking about whether the outfit I had chosen sparkled enough, if my pink nails were well painted, and which toys might entertain my classmates while the adults talked about boring things in the new shop my dad had decided to open.

What I do remember perfectly is grabbing the video camera and starting to record small bits of what is now family history. If you’ve seen the video on our Instagram, you’ve already seen part of it. Between my little sister, our cousin, and me, we captured our point of view: everything filmed at adult-belly height, always recording the people we knew… and the poorly focused floor, which ended up starring in many shots.

While the three of us were filming our “Oscar-worthy” vlogs (at least in our opinion) our dad would occasionally appear, interrupting our artistic creation to introduce us to someone: “This is my daughter. Look, Tzaitel, this is…” and unfortunately the name would be lost forever the moment I returned my attention to my “masterpiece.”

I wasn’t aware of it that day, but we were celebrating the beginning of a project that would mark the rhythm of our family for a decade and a half. A project that has seen us grow and grown alongside us. That, without us meaning for it to happen, has ended up defining an important part of who we are.

And today, 15 years later, all we can do is thank you.

Thank you for stopping by the shop, for recommending us to friends, for writing to us, for coming to our events, for all the 9+ bottles opened at your tables, and for helping keep this small family dream alive. Without you, we couldn’t write this story.

Let’s raise a glass to the first 15 years… and to those still to come 🥂🧡

With a big smile (and nails perhaps not as pink as before),

Tzaitel - Celler 9+
